The R&R Dress Diaries...I'm Emotionally Exposed!

Yesterday on the Army Wife 101 FaceBook Fan Page someone suggested talking about how it is to send your spouse back when R&R is almost over. Being that my situation fit in perfectly I decided to Vlog my emotions this morning.

Before You Watch:

Okay ladies I am sorry if this makes you cry alittle :). I think it's important to show others that we are definitely not alone in this(at times)challenging life and I hope that me opening up to you in a way I normally wouldn't helps any of you going through this at the moment. Check out my video diary below...Warning: I do shed a few tears

  1. Thanks for sharing with us. We are all going through the same things and is nice to know that there are others who are having difficulties as well. <3

  2. I don't see how anyone could have anything bad to say about this! I don't know what some people expect from us but we are not super women. We're normal human beings just like everyone else and sending off the love of your life is not going to be rainbows and butterflies. Thanks a lot for sharing with us :)

  3. Thank you for not editing out how hard it is not to cry...I very recently had to see my husband off at the airport after a too quick R&R. I often think oh how fun would that be...and then think it would be much more fun if Daddy were here to be with us. So. it's ok for us all to have our days. Thank you to your husband for wanting you to show how you feel to all us other Army Wives out here.

  5. I don't see how this could be taken in any sort of negative light! Thank you so much for sharing this side of you. You are very right... it makes us all feel "normal" to see other people go through the same emotions we may be feeling. So again, thank you!

  6. Awwww...it just breaks my heart seeing you cry because I've felt that way sooooo many times with my hubby's deployments/R&R's. I just want to give you a BIG HUG!! I think R&R goodbyes are always SOOO much harder bc, like you said, you get a taste of the sweet life, but also you know what he's going back to and you know what your life will go back to until their unit's homecoming. Sending them off for a deployment you're not entirely sure what the months ahead will hold (as each deployment is different)...there's so many questions, but by the time R&R comes you know those answers. Life as an army wife is NOT easy, but I commend you for being sooo HONEST about your emotions and sharing them with us, your viewers/fans!! Just remember you are not alone, and like you have done for so many of us, you have us, your fellow army wives to lean on as well!! :)

  7. Thank-you for posting this. My husband just deployed a mere 2 weeks ago and I'm so looking forward to R&R but scared that it will be like a tease, as you said.

  8. I love your blog, and I love this video. I met my husband right after his last deployment, so I haven't had to go through what you are yet, but I know our luck will eventually run out and I'll have to let my husband go too. Thank you for being so honest. Thinking of my husband leaving makes me cry, so seeing you being strong enough to go through what you are and still try to help others is amazing! Keep up the good work, and thanks!
